The Lakeside Drifters have been running since its formation in 2012 at Budgewoi.
We have thirty one units and fifty seven people.
We draw members from a diverse area, even our title is Lakeside Drifters we have people from Sydney city, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, The Hunter, Muswellbrook and even one from Casino.
We have six to seven actual musters each year plus of course the ACC Chairmans and National musters which are usually held in March and October, we have a healthy attendance at both local and national events.
We also have two luncheons each year one being in January and one in July, these events enable members past and present who do not tow anymore to meet their friends and also new members.
Our musters are normally held within NSW with the majority being in the wider Hunter region and the Mid Morth Coast with one being held recently at Woolgoolga.
Our musters are normally seven days in duration and our main venues are usually caravan parks and showgrounds with the occasional free camp if there is a tagalong organised.
I think our branch is attractive to prospective members because of our choice of venues, our laid back atmosphere in the group and mostly our friendly members who make a good impression on new members.
At our musters we try to organise sight seeing at local attractions, some walks if members are up to it and of course coffee mornings, lunch and at least one dinner during the course of the week.
