The East Gippsland Roadrunners first formed in 2016 and is one of the Branches of the Australian Caravan Club Limited (ACC). Each Branch consists of a group of ACC members who have come together and who share similar interests. We are a laid-back relaxed welcoming group who all enjoy the RV lifestyle.
As with the ACC we welcome all RV’ers including Caravans, Motorhomes, Camper Trailers, and 5th Wheelers as members. Our present membership is made up of members from Eastern Victoria stretching from Warragul all the way to the NSW border.
Our membership includes very experienced and knowledgeable RV’ers able to provide newer and less experienced members good advice gained over many years of experience. Travelling with such a group of experienced RV’ers provides a considerable degree of comfort knowing should things go wrong the rest of the team are there to support and help you.
Our Branch generally holds six musters a year as well as luncheon get togethers at various Gippsland pubs/clubs between musters. Being an ACC member also allows you to, subject to availability of sites, attend musters organised and planned by any of the other ACC Branches throughout Australia.
Our musters mostly range from three to seven days with some extended trips up to 30 days or so. All musters include planned activities such as tag-alongs, visits to points of interest, communal breakfasts, camp oven roasts, games, trivia questionnaires and a meal at the local Pub/Club. The important thing to consider here is that attendance or participation in any, or all, of the programmed activities is purely voluntary. Should any of the activities not be to your liking then you are most welcome to sit out and do your own thing.
Each day of each muster includes “happy hour” which commences at 4.30 pm. Happy Hour is a social time during which many (real and tall) tales, the inevitable dad jokes, tips and handy hints are exchanged.
We are a democratic group, and all Branch members are encouraged to have a say and vote on our operations and activities. To facilitate this a General Meeting of the Branch is usually scheduled at each Muster with an AGM taking place at our end of year Christmas muster in November of each year.
Participation in State, National, Joint and Chairman’s Musters is encouraged but is entirely voluntary.
We are pet friendly but for everyone’s comfort we do insist that members follow the ACC’s guidelines for pets.
ACC membership is of course mandatory however there is no additional cost to join our Branch.
We encourage people considering joining our Branch to come along as a guest to one of our Musters or luncheons to meet and greet the team. If you are interested in doing so, simply contact us and we will be only too pleased to forward you the event details and an invitation. To meet ACC guidelines and for insurance policy requirements we will ask for you and your partner’s (if applicable) full names, email address, postal address and mobile phone number.
