Q & A
Q. DO I HAVE TO ATTEND ANY MUSTERS OR MEETINGS?
A. No, just like the ACC (Australian Caravan Club) itself, you can be involved as little or as much as you like. You will be able to have interaction with fellow K.I.T. members via our ‘closed group’ Campfire page.
Q. I ALREADY BELONG TO A BRANCH IN THE ACC, DO I HAVE TO LEAVE THE BRANCH TO JOIN K.I.T.?
A. No. K.I.T. is a Special Interest Group, so you can belong to both.
Q. I AM AN ACC MEMBER, CAN I BRING MY GRANDKIDS
A. Absolutely. Grandkids, Nephews, Nieces, the neighbour’s kids… You must fill out and send in a K.I.T. Application form first though!
Q. WHO ORGANISES THE MUSTERS?
A. The coordinators of K.I.T. will assist as much as possible. Generally, in an area, members with local knowledge will suggest a place to meet.
Q. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO ARRANGE A MUSTER?
A. Once a place is selected, contact us with the date and location. We need this so the board of the ACC can log it as an event, then the muster is covered under the ACC insurance.
Q. HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN OR WHERE A MUSTER IS ON?
A. It will be announced on the K.I.T. social page and/or via email. We will also have a K.I.T only section on the ACC website.
Q. CAN I BRING MY DOG ALONG?
A. Yes. Dogs are welcome under the ACC guidelines. Now, with the younger kids being naïve with animals, if there is a possibility of it harming a child, please consider making other arrangements. JUST A NOTE – If an incident occurs with an animal, it is a matter between the dog owner and the other party. It is the owners’ responsibility. The board of ACC nor the coordinators of K.I.T. will be held responsible.
Q. WHAT IF I AM IN THIS CLUB FOR MANY YEARS AND MY KIDS GROW OLDER THAN 18 YEARS OLD?
A. Once you are a member of K.I.T., we wouldn’t want you to lose your friendship with other members. You will always be welcome to attend with or without your children. Your children will also be welcomed to attend.
Q. IF I AM A K.I.T. MEMBER, CAN I ATTEND ANY ACC EVENT?
A. To be a member of K.I.T., you must be a financial member of the ACC. This means you can enjoy all the benefits of the ACC, including attending their musters – both local and national.
