The Australian Caravan Club (ACC) is delighted to welcome 19 new members who joined at the 2017 Mackay Home Show and Caravan, Camping Expo held at the Mackay Showgrounds last weekend.

“On behalf of all members of our Club, a very big welcome to our new members from Mackay and its surrounding regions,” our Chairman Craig Humphrey said today.  “I encourage you all to take advantage of the many benefits that membership of our Club brings.”

“19 new members is a fantastic outcome and the result of a lot of hard work volunteered by a number of our members.”

The new members have all also joined the ACC Sugar City Pioneers branch.

“We would like to extend our special thanks to Queensland membership support representative Dennis Mulholland, together with Paul Eyles, John and Jo Hocking, John Mallett, Lesley Patswald, Roy Tungate, Ron Laffin, Ross Anderson, Alan Jorgensen, Graham Laister, Barry and Shirley Killen, and Martin Casey from our Sugar City Pioneers Branch all of whom donated time over the duration of the Expo to manage the stand.”

“Our new members will now be able to take advantage of member benefits available from almost 600 businesses around Australia, of staying as a guest with one our member Hosts at one of our Farm Stays, of becoming involved in one of our dynamic committees, and chatting with other members on the members’ forum on our Club’s website to name but a few.”

“In addition, the ACC Sugar City Pioneers branch holds regular musters and our Club has its national muster in October at Bingara New South Wales.”

“Next year we have a chairman’s muster planned for early 2018 and the national muster in in Denmark Western Australia.”

“As a member of our Club you are automatically entitled to attend the muster of any branch in Australia.”

This is the first major recruitment event held since the Club’s Target 500 Campaign aimed at membership recruitment and retention commenced on 1 May 2017.

“Members are reminded that for every new member recruited, the recruiting member will receive a $25 fuel voucher during the course of the campaign which runs until 1 May 2018,” Mr Humphrey said.
